The White Cat brand, which entered the Russian market about 10 years ago, produces environmentally friendly products, devices and products for effective cleaning without the use of chemicals. The brand belongs to the Swedish network company Smart, which produces and sells mops for washing windows and floors, all kinds of sponges, napkins, attachments, and rags. And it is a trading house (TD), under whose brand all products are sold.
Products differ from similar ones: ease of use, convenience, lightness and beautiful design, as well as long service life and high quality. They allow you to reduce time costs, the required amount of health and strength, and also bring pleasure from the process of bringing your living space to cleanliness and order.
Description
Thanks to the microfiber cleaning surface, Smart mops under the White Cat brand do not require the use of detergents. To deal with dust and dirt, you only need a mop, replaceable heads and a bucket of clean, warm water, as well as a few minutes of free time. Despite the abundance of similar products from competing companies, few of them can compare with the products of the White Cat brand in terms of quality and service life.
For reference! The company's mops are guaranteed for a period of 5 years.
Clean cat mops from Smart are distinguished by the presence of a telescopic handle, which can be lengthened or shortened depending on the physical characteristics of the cleaner. The length of the product varies from 90 to 150 cm, so it will be just right for any height. The platform, equipped with a microfiber nozzle, is made of durable plastic and is also the most movable part of the mop. Therefore, obstacles in the form of table legs, chairs, sofas and beds will no longer bother you while cleaning the floors. Thanks to the small thickness of the platform with the nozzle and its mobility, the floor cleaning device from the White Cat brand will look into all the hard-to-reach corners and dirt will simply cease to exist.
General rules
Before you get ready to wash the surfaces you walk on, you need to familiarize yourself with the general rules for this manipulation. These rules apply to all types of floors. Regardless of how you plan to wash the floor, with your hands or with a mop, you must first remove all objects that you can from the surface. This way, the area will be free, and cleaning will become much easier.
It is very important to clean the floors with a broom before wet cleaning. Thin twigs will help pull dust out of far corners and crevices. You just need to work with a slightly wet broom: in a bucket of water, slightly moisten the tips of the rods, then lightly tap on the edge of the bucket to shake off excess droplets.
Now you can start cleaning the floors. This is done from the most distant corner of the room, gradually moving towards the exit. These are general recommendations, and now let’s figure out how to use a mop, which detergents are suitable for which types of surfaces, and how to make surfaces clean without using a mop.
Types of products
The list of products that can be purchased may be as follows:
- Rectangular floor mops. They are divided according to the quality of the coating for which they were invented (mops for washing parquet, laminate or universal), as well as by the number of attachments and the method of squeezing them. For example, 3-in-1 mops, without attachments, with one, two or three, floor mops with a spin.
- Professional cleaning equipment. They have an increased platform size for washing the surface of the floor, ceiling and walls, as well as a telescopic handle that extends up to 180 cm.
- Brooms, brushes and dustpan sets.
- Glass cleaning kits.
- Triangular mops and rope mops with a bucket that absorb a lot of liquid.
- Mops with a foam platform with a mechanism for squeezing the nozzle.
- A household spray mop with a reservoir and a sprayer for spraying water or detergent compositions.
- Mops for cleaning windows.
- Chister is a system for washing floors, glass and other surfaces.
- Rubber scrapers for glass, mirrors, tiles or floor surfaces.
- Special rubberized slippers, wipes for cleaning glass, mirror and varnished surfaces, and attachments for all types of mops.
As you can see, the list of related products for the cleanliness of the interior of apartments, offices, houses, shops, schools, kindergartens, and so on is quite extensive and selected to meet the most demanding needs of customers.
Choosing a detergent
It is incredibly important to choose the right floor cleaner. There are a huge number of different floor cleaning products on the market today, but there is a product for each type of flooring. So, for parquet it is necessary to choose a delicate composition that will not damage the floor.
Cleaners that contain alcohol are not suitable for linoleum. Powdered cleaning products are also not recommended. Such concentrates will darken the coating or leave whitish streaks.
Floor tiles should not be cleaned with liquid soap. It is better to rub a little laundry soap into the water or find a detergent containing acid. This product will remove dirt and destroy germs.
For laminate flooring, try to buy a detergent with a neutral pH level. Abrasive substances must not be used to clean floor coverings made of this type of material.
Popular lines and models
The advantages of each type of product.
- Rectangular mops for washing floors, walls, and ceilings are produced as follows: “Professional” (small and large), “Household” (3-in-1, without attachments, with one, two or three attachments at the same time), “Gift” ( are additionally equipped with special napkins for washing various surfaces), Eco-mop (the production of which required 32% less plastic than all others). All these mops have telescopic handles from 80-90 cm to 140-150 (180) cm long, a movable profile for cleaning floors, and the ability to purchase additional attachments made of ultra-thin microfiber. Moreover, for “Household” devices for washing surfaces they are different.
Wet (blue). Suitable for washing floors covered with parquet, linoleum, laminate, marble, and tiles. To clean, you should moisten it in warm water, and it will collect dust and absorb all the dirt without leaving streaks.
As a result of surface treatment, pellets are formed on the nozzles, which worsen the appearance of the products, but do not affect the quality of cleaning.
Dry (white). Thanks to its white fluffy surface, which has an electrostatic effect, the dry cleaning nozzle is ideal for wiping dust from various surfaces, as well as for daily polishing of laminate and parquet floors. Many hygienists prefer them because moisture has a beneficial effect on the development of pathogens, while dry cleaning does not.
Universal (Blue). Can be used for dust removal and floor washing. It combines the properties of the two previous attachments and, as a rule, is used most often by housewives.
- Exclusive mops.
“Foam rubber” with a mechanism for squeezing the platform with a sponge.
“Rope mop “Malvina””, consisting of a mop with a rope rag that absorbs moisture well, and a durable plastic bucket with a level for squeezing out wet fluff.
“Eco-mop”, containing 32% less plastic and including all the useful properties of rectangular mops.
Care
To ensure long-term use of the nozzle, you need to put it in order after cleaning. Microfiber should be washed with warm water or washed in a washing machine. Do not use bleach or conditioner on the material. The first agent has a destructive effect on fibers, and the second leaves a film that worsens the characteristics of the fabric.
Do not wash the nozzle with terry or other fluffy items that leave pellets and fibers in the water. Otherwise they will stick to the material, and then it will leave marks. The nozzle must dry out; it must be protected from excessive heat, since it is synthetic and will melt in contact with high temperatures.
Model selection criteria
When choosing from the catalog of available floor cleaning devices, you should remember that a comfortable mop should have:
- An aluminum or metal adjustable handle that will last a long time and allow you to clean in hard-to-reach places without straining the cleaner’s muscles and spine.
- A handle for squeezing the nozzle or a reservoir for spraying the floor with water or detergent. These devices in mops allow you to get rid of back pain after cleaning the room.
- Correctly selected nozzles. Namely, consisting of cotton ropes 30-40 cm long (it should be remembered that rope mops are unsuitable for washing marble and wooden floors, as they leave stains on them) and microfiber attachments. The most convenient and most functional mops, since they are used for wet, dry or mixed cleaning for washing floors, walls, ceilings covered with marble, wood, linoleum, tiles or parquet.
Important! Laminate flooring can be easily scratched by a rope mop, so when cleaning it, you should choose a mop equipped with a microfiber pad.
Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages | Flaws |
Can be used for dry and wet cleaning | Low degree of resistance to high temperatures. Microfiber can be washed in water at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius |
Good absorption and water retention properties of microfiber | Limited service life |
Mops do not leave streaks on the surface being treated | During use, microfiber absorbs fats, which prevent it from drying out. This leads to rapid wear. |
Light weight of products and the ability to adjust the length of the holder | Poorly drying material accumulates a large number of microbes and fungi |

Features of use
Since almost all mop handles for cleaning floors of this brand are equipped with a telescopic device, it would be useful to learn how to use them.
In the initial position, the handle of the best-selling “Household” mop is fixed. If there is a need to change the length of the handle, you should take the blue part of the handle with your right hand, and the inner white part with your left hand and turn the blue part towards you several times in relation to the white one. When ease of rotation is achieved, it becomes clear that the fixation has been successfully overcome. Next, with your left hand you should extend the white inner part to the required length and, rotating the blue part of the handle away from you, fix the mop in this position.
How to change a mop head
To connect the telescopic handle and the platform, you need to extend and fix the inner part of the platform at a distance of 20 cm, and, holding this part, screw it to the platform. To remove the platform, hold the inside of the handle and unscrew it from the platform.
How to remove a cloth from a flat mop
Microfiber or cloth attachments are attached to the platform with strong Velcro, and the attachments have corners into which the platform fits. Therefore, in order to remove the attachment (rag) from the mop, you need to remove it from these corner pockets and forcefully detach it from the sticky platform.
Washing floors by hand
Many housewives are interested in the answer to the question of how to wash the floor with their hands. Everything is very simple here: choose a suitable rag and cleaning product. Add cleaning liquid to a bucket of water and dip a rag into it. Soak it well and squeeze it out. Now, just as in the case of a mop, you need to wash the coating from the far corner to the middle of the room. Rinse the rag, wring it out and wash the second half of the room. If necessary, wipe the washed surface with a dry cloth.
Frequent types of breakdowns
The “White Cat” mop has only positive reviews, however, if the product is used and stored incorrectly, damage may occur. To reduce the number of calls to the repair shop or avoid them completely, you should store the device in a suspended state, put it on the platform and secure it tightly with a clean garbage bag (the stickiness of the Velcro lasts longer) and clean the surface of the attachment with a cat scratcher. And also wash the attachment only with soap, do not use washing powders with chlorine and do not dry it on hot radiators.
If a breakdown of the product does occur, you should contact the support service on the official website of the White Cat Trade House (https://www.chistokot.ru) or the service center, they will give advice or carry out troubleshooting work.

Me too) I’ll listen to what people say
Original message
memyselfandi-jenny:
damn, you give it =))
I asked my mom, she says you should wash your hands, it’s better, better quality =)
Which mop is better for cleaning the floor?
Routine housework, oddly enough, for some people can be quite a pleasant and relaxing activity: many love to cook, some love to wash or iron, some absolutely love to wash dishes or windows, and some wonderful men love to vacuum. But there are few people who like to wash floors - this dirty and physically difficult work does not give any pleasant emotions, except perhaps the final result. Modern stores offer a variety of devices for cleaning floors - is it really possible that none of them can make this unpleasant job more convenient and easier? Wanting, on the instructions of our economic editorial team, to thoroughly understand this issue, I asked my friends about what they use to wash the floor, and also collected information about a variety of devices designed specifically to make floor washing as comfortable as possible.
Content:
Folk remedies
Readers will also be interested in learning about how to wash the floor with folk remedies. If there are children in the house, then it is possible that the floor covering can be painted with felt-tip pens. To wipe it off, you need to soak a small rag in gasoline and lightly rub the “image”. Then wipe the area with a damp, clean cloth and wipe it dry. The same method is used to remove traces from sneakers.
To make the flooring shiny, it is recommended to wash it with a solution of milk and water. Liquids must be mixed in one to one proportions. A freshly washed floor can be lubricated with linseed oil, which forms a protective film and thus protects the surface from damage.
Simple mop with rag
Of the 7 survey participants, 2 people use the simplest option - wrapping a rag around a mop or floor brush. One friend was lucky to distribute household responsibilities in such a way that her husband got to wash the floors, and he has not yet complained about the not very convenient equipment. And another friend returned to this option because it seemed more reliable to her compared to others:
“I tried to wash the floors with a mop with a self-wringing sponge, but for me personally, this model turned out to be much more inconvenient than it was useful. I also had a very comfortable flat mop with a rectangular microfiber pad. I liked it, but for some reason it quickly broke down. I want to buy the same one, but I can’t get around to it yet. In general, if you pick up a good soft rag and cut a hole in the center of the cloth for putting it on the brush, then it will be quite convenient to wash the floors.” (Elena)
Is it worth saving?
If you decide to purchase microfiber products, you will probably notice a wide range in prices. What causes this?
As always, responding to rising demand, China and Korea began producing their microfiber household products at low prices. But 70-75% of them use unsplit fibers. How can this be, you will be surprised, because such fabric will not absorb moisture well and is therefore not suitable for cleaning. This is explained by the fact that equipment for splitting fibers costs from $1 million, while machines simply for the production of microfiber cost from $100 thousand. Therefore, only the largest manufacturers can produce a truly high-quality product. So don't chase the cheapest offer.
In addition, the thickness of the fiber is important. In cheap Chinese products it is much more than necessary, so the canvas attracts dirt and moisture less well.
The cost of the mop itself will be affected by the material from which it is made and its quality.
Flat mop with microfiber pad
Many people like this option, it is convenient and effective to use: the design is flat and easily moves in all directions, with its help you can wash the floor in the most inaccessible corners, and the fluffy microfiber nozzle perfectly collects all the dirt. In addition to my friend Elena, who plans to buy such a mop again, 3 more survey participants constantly use this option.
“After a regular mop and rag, it’s like heaven and earth! The nozzles are comfortable, they collect all the dirt perfectly and glide easily across the floor, so you don’t have to put in much physical effort. Buying a new nozzle is not a problem - they are available in any supermarket. I really like this mop - I think it’s the best option!” (Inna)
How to choose the right replacement sponge?
Rules for choosing a replacement mop head:
- Specify the brand name of the mop. If the attachment is made by another manufacturer, it may not fit the original product.
- To eliminate the possibility of error 100%, you can take the old nozzle with you to the store. It is lightweight and does not take up much space in your bag.
- If the purchase is made online, it is necessary to take measurements and compare them with the product being purchased.
- The mounting holes of the new and old nozzles must match completely.
The new nozzle must be made of the same material as the previous one. Externally identical products may not coincide with the base by several millimeters, which is why it will not be possible to use them.
Rope mop and bucket with mesh for squeezing
Despite the fact that all grocery departments of supermarkets are filled with such devices, they turned out to be not very popular. Of all the housewives I interviewed, only one friend has such a mop:
“I bought it a long time ago when I was trying to find a convenient solution for cleaning the floor. I didn’t use it for long and soon purchased a flat mop with a microfiber attachment. What I didn’t like about the rope mop was that, despite the special mesh, it still doesn’t wring out well. And we have laminate everywhere, and for me this is very critical: you can’t leave water on the floor, otherwise all the boards will become deformed. Therefore, the rope mop moved to the country. What else can I say about convenience? I don’t know, I much prefer a flat mop with microfiber.” (Olga)
Alternatives
The following products can serve as a replacement for a wooden mop:
- With sponge attachment . You can wring it out without touching the cloth.
- Butterfly mop . The rag is wrung out using a special mechanism that contracts like the wings of a butterfly.
- With microfiber . It is represented by a handle with a platform on which a microfiber cloth is fixed. The base is movable and maneuverable, which improves the quality of cleaning.
- Rope mop . It has a long handle and a round platform. The washing cloth is represented by ropes.
- Flat . Its attachments can be made of cotton and microfiber. They can be replaced as they wear out.
- Steam . The device is equipped with a steam function, thanks to which it is possible not only to wash, but also to disinfect the surface.
Miracle microfiber mops with automatic spin
My mother told me about such a system, having bought it under the impression of an advertisement on TV. Having tried the set in action, she was very pleased and immediately decided to give it to me and order another copy for herself. Her delight knew no bounds: according to her, nothing could be more convenient - the mop does everything itself, washing the floors with such a device is not at all tiring and takes literally a few minutes!
Having assured my mother that I would find the same set on the Internet, but several times cheaper, I plunged into the search and discovered many options for these devices, which were similar to each other in their basic idea, but were very different in details. The exact same set as my mother’s was no longer on sale, and I had to seriously study the features of different models and user reviews.
Folding bucket with two compartments
First, by searching for “Cinderella cleaning kit” (as it was written on my mother’s box), I found this device. After reading user reviews on the Internet, I decided that due to its folding design, it is still not very convenient to use. For example, how to move it from place to place when the bucket is filled with water? Fold and unfold every time? You can learn more about this set from the promotional video - perhaps I just couldn’t appreciate this model, but you will really like it:
Oval bucket with two compartments
My mother's set was similar to these models. They have different names and have some design differences, but in general they are all the same: they are an oval bucket, one compartment of which has a rapidly rotating basket for squeezing out the mop, and the other is intended for rinsing. There are two types of sets that differ from each other in the rotation mechanism: some are activated by the foot - by pressing a special pedal at the base of the bucket (my mother has this option), and others rotate the basket by pressing the mop handle, inside of which a special spring is installed . There is also an alternative type of product, which combines two methods of rotation - both the pedal and the mop handle. The following video demonstrates just such a universal option:
Compact round bucket with one compartment
For myself, I chose the most compact and, in my opinion, the most functional option. This model is a small bucket with a rotating basket inside. The basket is fixed in two positions: in the lower position for automatic rinsing of the mop in water, in the upper position for automatic spinning over water. The bucket is small and only half filled with water, so it is very easy and convenient to carry from place to place.
I no longer wear rubber gloves to clean the floor because my hands always remain dry and clean. After filling the bucket to the desired level, I place the mop in the basket, fixed in the lower position, and rinse it well, just pressing the handle a couple of times. Then I lift the mop up - the basket itself rises with it and automatically locks in the upper position. Having wrung out the mop to the desired state with several presses on the handle, I tilt it slightly to the side to remove it from the attachment in the center of the basket. To lower the basket again to the lower position for rinsing, I place the mop on it again, lift it and the basket a little (this removes the basket from the upper mount) and lower it to the lower position.
In this video you can see how this kit works:
I ordered the same devices for my mother and mother-in-law: my mother needed it for cleaning at the dacha, and my mother-in-law wanted to use it at home, but had not yet figured out how to use it. Mom turned out to be the most experienced user of miracle mops and shared her impressions of using two different models:
“What I really liked about the little bucket is how compact it is and how light it is when filled with water. A long oval bucket is still much heavier, and a suitable place to store it is more difficult to find. I also liked the automatic rinsing. This is very convenient - the fluffy nozzle washes well in water. Rinsing a mop by hand takes longer, and it doesn't turn out as clean. However, in defense of the big bucket, I find that turning the basket using a foot pedal is much easier than pressing the handle. Which of the two options can I recommend? Any! The individual details of these buckets are not so important - what is important is that they are extremely convenient and make cleaning much easier.” (Yulia Vasilievna)
My friend Zhanna also has a miracle mop with an oval bucket, a foot pedal and no auto-rinse. Its bucket is made of thick plastic, it has a rotating metal basket for squeezing, wheels and a high retractable handle for easy movement around the apartment.
“When I saw this system in an online store, I was immediately inspired to buy it. My bucket was the most expensive of a number of similar models because it is made of the most durable and long-lasting materials. Yes, it is quite weighty even when empty, and carrying it with water is generally difficult. But I don’t suffer from this: the wheels and the high retractable handle help me a lot - it’s convenient and easy to carry around the apartment. I had never heard of models with automatic rinsing before. It’s probably even more convenient, but I wouldn’t trade my bucket for anything else – it completely suits me!” (Jeanne)
In my personal experience with the compact model with manual basket rotation, I found the mop handle to be quite easy to press. It is also worth noting the excellent functionality of the fluffy microfiber attachments: they really do an excellent job of removing any dirt, glide easily over the surface and are easy to clean. However, this does not eliminate the need to vacuum or sweep the floor before washing it: a mop will help sweep small solid particles (grains of sand, grains, cat hairs, etc.) into one place, but will not collect them. When choosing a cleaning kit, I was very concerned about the durability and reliability of the design, especially the plastic rotating basket. But from experience of use, I can say that in my model all the elements are made with high quality and so far give no reason to doubt their strength.
Changing the sponge on a squeegee mop in three steps
Step one: remove the old sponge. To get rid of the worn-out jaw or what is left of it, you need to unscrew the four screws that secure the part to the movable hinge. Here the first difficulty arises: those screws that are closer to the center of the spine are quite problematic to get to. Although the spine itself moves in the longitudinal direction, it will not be possible to hold it in place and unscrew the screw at the same time. A couple of extra hands wouldn't hurt here.
Action two: routine repairs. Since the mop is disassembled, why not check its technical condition? Using pliers, you need to tighten the nuts on the mounting bolts and studs, and check that the plastic coupling is securely attached to the mop handle. If this unit becomes loose, it is better to immediately make additional fixation with several self-tapping screws.
Step three: install a new sponge. Having removed the store film from the part, we install it in place. We must not forget that the sponge can be moved along the squeezing mechanism so that the hinge parts do not interfere with tightening all four screws. By the way, it is better to tighten the screws immediately until they stop, and not to tighten them first: this way the likelihood that the sponge will quickly become loose will be minimal.
