What to replace and how to make antistatic for clothes at home

There are times when antistatic agent and air conditioner are not at hand, but they are needed. Folk remedies come to the rescue. They do not harm people or pets. There is no need to delve into the composition.

Vinegar

Perfectly softens laundry, does not leave marks or streaks. You can add half a cup of vinegar to your detergent for every 4 liters of water. Rinse things in the solution.

Clothes will sparkle with bright colors again, and stains and stains from soap and powder will disappear. The laundry will soften and static electricity will disappear. Pet fur will not stick to your clothes. The effect lasts for a week, after which it is worth repeating the procedure.

You can also use vinegar to bleach clothes. Bring water to a boil in a large container, then add 1 cup of vinegar to it. Remove the container from the heat and place the laundry in the liquid. Soak for a day and then wash.

A bonus after using vinegar will be cleaning the washing machine from scale and foreign odors.

Soda

Baking soda is an effective remedy against stains, unpleasant odors and static electricity. It is enough to add it to the water when washing at the rate of 100 g of soda per 5 kg of laundry.

Foreign odors can be eliminated as follows: soak the laundry in a soda solution (150 g per 4 liters of water), leave it like that for 8-12 hours. Then wash with regular powder.

Salt

Salt helps get rid of stubborn stains and static charge. It is enough to add 1-2 teaspoons of salt to the water. It is not recommended to boil things in a saline solution, as inexperienced housewives do. Because of this, the structure of the fabric will soften greatly, and as a result the item will look like “melted ice cream.” The water should be cool or room temperature.

Lemon water

It acts similarly to a vinegar solution, but gives the products a subtle and pleasant aroma. It is important to note that the water should be cool. It is enough to mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with 1 liter of water. You can saturate the sponge and wipe the desired item with it.

If you add 5 tablespoons to 4 liters of water, you can create a rinse aid. You need to soak the laundry for 20 minutes in the solution, and then dry well in the fresh air.

Dry soap

As an antistatic agent, you can rub the underside of the laundry with dry soap. The effect will last up to 2 days.

In this case, it is advisable to wear the treated item only twelve hours after applying the antistatic agent.

There is another type of product that removes static charges from clothes. Antistatic agents related to it are made on a water basis. However, they are considered safe. But can household chemicals be harmless?

The water-based spray remains on clothing for a long time. It is similar to antistatic agents of the first type only in the presence of surface-active components in its composition. Due to the fact that such a spray does not evaporate from clothing for a long time, it can cause an allergic reaction. If skin irritation occurs after using such an antistatic agent, it should be discarded immediately. You can replace this product with a paste that dissolves in water or fabric softener. Such antistatic agents are recommended even for children's clothing. When using them, the risk of allergies is almost zero.
