Vanish for washing

Using Vanish you can wash various textile products from many types of contaminants. The product is added to the water along with washing powder. The manufacturer claims that the product begins to act at a temperature of 30ºC. However, experts do not recommend washing only with this product, since its composition is highly concentrated. The high efficiency of powder Vanish is ensured due to the fact that it contains several active ingredients:

  • oxygen-containing bleach - up to 15%;
  • anionic and nonionic surfactants - up to 5%;
  • zeolites - for breaking down fat;
  • enzymes - to remove food stains.

The composition of the gel and liquid concentrate also contains phosphates, cinnamal and citronellol.

Due to the fact that the active components of the product, unlike chlorine, act quite gently, this product does not spoil the structure of the fabric, does not corrode high-quality dyes and does not cause the appearance of yellowness on white things.

The stain remover is not recommended for use on products that contain components of animal origin (wool, silk, suede, leather). It cannot be used to wash items with metal or wood decorations.

The manufacturer claims that the revolutionary product will deal with stains of blood, sweat and other body fluids in one wash. Stains from coffee, cocoa, fruit and vegetable juices require pre-soaking. “Vanish” is used to remove stains from iodine, brilliant green, decorative cosmetics, felt-tip pens, grease and other contaminants. Before using the product, you must read the instructions for use located on the packaging of the product. It is recommended to soak colored items in warm water for no more than 1 hour. White items can be soaked for up to 6 hours. It is better to wash items made from delicate, thin fabrics using Vanish gel or liquid concentrate, as they require gentle treatment.

To remove old stains, soak the product in cold water, and then apply the stain remover directly to the stains and leave for 15-20 minutes. After this, start washing. Particularly stubborn stains may require multiple treatments to remove.

The degree of contamination determines the amount of detergent used for washing. If the laundry is heavily soiled and needs pre-soaking, then the product is diluted at the rate of 2 scoops per 5 liters of water. When washing by hand, one scoop of product is diluted in 10 liters of water. The powder can be diluted to a mushy state, applied to the stains for 10-15 minutes, then begin washing.

Based on reviews, a list has been compiled on how to properly use Vanish shampoo.

Basic Rules:

  • Work in a well-ventilated area. Shampoo is a chemical, and you shouldn’t put your health in danger again;
  • Work with rubber gloves, do not allow liquid to get into your eyes;
  • Prepare a working solution. Pour one cap of Vanish into a carpet cleaning container and add 9 caps of water (according to the instructions, the ratio should be 1:9);
  • The water should not be too hot so that you can put your hands in it;
  • Using a foam sponge (the size of the sponge is selected individually), start whipping the foam. This is conveniently done by wetting and squeezing the sponge in your hand. Continue the procedure for several minutes until a thick, dense foam appears and the water is almost completely used up;
  • Then use a sponge to apply the foam to the carpet surface. There is no need to rub the foam in forcefully; just cover the carpet with it until a fluffy coating appears. On heavily contaminated areas, you can add a little liquid of the product, and after a while, use a sponge to make several deep circular movements;
  • Wait until the foam settles and the carpet dries. Then remove the remaining product with a regular vacuum cleaner;
  • To completely remove the cleaner, wipe the carpet surface with a damp brush;
  • After finishing the work, the carpet must be completely dried to avoid mold. According to the instructions, you can use the carpet 2-3 hours after cleaning;
  • If the effect is not achieved, cleaning must be repeated.

How to use Vanish for carpets

Before you start cleaning the carpet, you need to remove dry debris and accumulated dust from it. The best thing to do is take it outside and knock it out. If this is not possible, you should thoroughly vacuum both the front and back sides so that contamination during cleaning does not leave dirty spots on the floor.

Carpets are made from different materials. It is better not to clean items that are handmade and/or made from natural threads, such as wool or silk. Inexpensive synthetic carpets can be treated with unstable dyes, so before using Vanish, you should test the material's reaction on an inconspicuous area. If the color has withstood the treatment, you can safely apply the product to the entire product.

When working with Vanish at home, as with other household chemicals, it is important to follow safety precautions - wear rubber gloves and ventilate the room during and after using the product

Heavy soiling and difficult stains are best removed from the carpet surface as quickly as possible. In this case, Vanish is most effective.

Shampoo

Shampoo for manual cleaning of carpets and shampoo with an antibacterial effect are designed for wet cleaning of stubborn dirt and dust, and eliminating odors. The latter is capable of destroying up to 99.9% of bacteria and microorganisms (according to the manufacturer), that is, it can be used to disinfect the coating. Mothers whose young children often play on the carpet will especially appreciate this property. The shampoo is convenient for treating carpets with both short and long pile.

  • remove remaining foam after complete drying with a regular vacuum cleaner.

Please note that a washing vacuum cleaner cannot be used to remove foam; there is a special product for it - shampoo for washing vacuum cleaners.

According to the instructions for use, this shampoo is diluted in water at the rate of one and a half caps of shampoo per 1 liter of water and added to the compartment of the washing vacuum cleaner. The carpet is cleaned first with the use of the product, and then again without it (performing dry cleaning).

Spray

Vanish spray is intended for local removal of stains on the carpet, including difficult to remove stains. It is better to use it on fresh stains. The product comes with a spray bottle, which makes it easy to use. You can also use the spray to remove stains from the upholstery of a sofa and other furniture.

How to use the spray:

  • spray onto the stain and leave for 5 minutes;
  • in case of heavy or difficult to remove contamination, rub the liquid in with a brush with medium-hard bristles (this way the active substances penetrate deeper into the material);
  • remove with a clean damp cloth after 5 minutes.

Powder

Moistened Vanish powder is indispensable when cleaning large carpets. Thanks to its absorbent properties, the product actively absorbs dirt and unpleasant odors, restoring freshness and cleanliness to the coating.

Instructions for using the powder:

  • shake the powder package before use;
  • Pour the powder onto the carpet and spread it with a soft brush over the entire surface. Since the powder is moistened, there is no need to add additional water to it or wet the carpet;
  • leave the product until completely dry (20-30 minutes);

Active foam

Active foam, like shampoo, is used to remove stubborn dirt and dust, as well as to refresh the carpet. But unlike shampoo, “Vanish” foam is more convenient to use - you just need to spray it onto the surface of the carpet from a distance of 70-90 cm.

The foam is spread evenly over the carpet in a dense layer and left on the surface until completely dry (this may take several hours). Then the remaining foam is removed with a regular vacuum cleaner.

Summing up and conclusions

Before first use, be sure to check the color fastness of the carpet or furniture upholstery to Vanish. To do this, apply a small amount of the substance to an inconspicuous place and leave for a while. If the product has not faded, then Vanish is suitable for cleaning it. Advertisements from manufacturers claim that the product can deal with any stains without much effort.

However, customer reviews do not always confirm such an assessment of the product. There are both positive and not very enthusiastic reviews about Vanish on the Internet. Of course, some users may simply not follow the instructions. The result does not live up to expectations. In other cases, old stains really cannot be removed by any stain remover. Some users are quite grateful to the product manufacturers for saving things that they already wanted to throw away.

In some cases, Vanish components can cause an allergic reaction. Overall, it is certainly worth evaluating this product yourself.

The attitude towards smell is the same - from the biggest plus to the biggest minus.

In addition, most buyers agree that the price is too high and does not correspond to the quality. However, Vanish really copes with many fresh stains. For example, it removes tea stains by 59%. This is the best result among other manufacturers. But in terms of whitening, his result is satisfactory - only 45%.

In some cases, the components of the stain remover can cause an allergic reaction. In general, of course, it is worth evaluating this product yourself. But it’s not for nothing that many people use it constantly and don’t look for other stain removers.
