Sequencing:

- Turn on hot water in the bathroom, wait until the bath fills and a cloud of steam forms
- Then place the fur coat in a hot air bath
As soon as the fur begins to flatten under the influence of steam, shake the mink coat, and then take it to a well-ventilated room or to the balcony. But do not forget that it should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
You should not leave your fur coat in the bathroom for a long time, for a maximum of an hour, otherwise it will get wet from the condensation that has formed, and subsequently become deformed during drying.

How to steam?
Remember, steaming is a very delicate process, be careful not to overheat or wet the fur coat, otherwise you will have to take it to a fur studio. Before steaming, hang the product on a hanger and inspect for dirt. Remove stains before starting the procedure: under the influence of steam, dirt eats away more strongly.
You can steam using a professional steamer, an iron with a vertical steam blast function, or a portable steam head. To ensure a uniform stream of steam, pour clean and filtered water into the devices. Turn on the steamer and wait for a constant flow of steam without any water droplets. Moisture can greatly deform a fur coat: the leather fabric will shrink, become hard, lumpy and rustling.
To begin, warm up the fur in a gentle mode, without approaching the surface of the product closer than twenty centimeters to prevent burns to the leather of the fur. It is strictly forbidden to steam a fur coat from the inside. Never touch the metal surfaces of the steam generator or iron to the fur.
It is better to direct the steam jet against the growth of the pile; this will help the steam reach the folds, gently absorb into the leather fabric and smooth them out. As it warms up, you can gradually reduce the distance to the fur to fifteen centimeters. First of all, steam small parts: sleeves, collar, hood. Move from small elements to large ones. Steam with smooth forward movements. Do not stop in one place for a long time so as not to overheat the fur.
If not all the creases are straightened, try combing the fur while steaming. Be sure to wear the anti-thermal mittens included with the steamer: hot steam can burn you when handling the brush. If you comb your fur coat in the direction of hair growth, it will become smoother, and if you comb it against it, it will become fluffier and more voluminous. Make sure the fur is not over-wetted. Stop steaming if you notice that the fur begins to get wet.
Is it possible to steam a mink coat with a steamer?

Sequencing:

- As the fur coat warms up, gradually reduce the distance to 15 cm
- When you finish steaming your fur coat, shake the fur item thoroughly and be sure to hang it to dry away from other things. The fur coat should completely dry and straighten out.

Is it possible to iron fur with an iron?
You cannot straighten a natural mink coat with an iron along the outside. This will dry out the villi and cause irreparable harm to the quality of the fur. The caked product is smoothed along the wrong side from the center to the sides. A thin cotton rag is used between the iron and the lining.
You cannot put pressure on the device, the steam is turned off, the ironing temperature is low and set to o. Movements are smooth and careful. The direction of movement is along the pile.
Before ironing, test the iron on an inconspicuous area of the coat. If the fur does not look “chewed” or wrinkled after ironing, the result is satisfactory, then you can begin to straighten the entire surface of the fur coat.
How to smooth fur with a brush
Also, at home, your fur product can be tidied up using a special fur brush.
To begin, take a colorless foam sponge, moisten it with water, and then moisten the crushed fur. But it should not be wet, but only slightly moistened.
Then comb it with a fur brush in the direction of the pile. After completing this simple procedure, the fur product must be dried.
This procedure can be carried out at least every week.
The best ways to straighten the fur of a fur coat that is caked
Method No. 1
To straighten the fur of a fur coat that is a little caked, you need to hang it on a special hanger and place it in a well-ventilated place. It is advisable to choose a room with high air humidity, for example in the bathroom. Further actions:

Before you steam caked fur, comb it with a special comb against the direction of the pile. Do this smoothly, without exerting force, so as not to break the fibers. It is not recommended to replace the steamer with a regular iron for ironing, as you risk scorching areas of the fur, and the scorch will stand out brightly against the background of the entire fur fabric.
If you iron the inside of a fur coat in order to straighten its fur, you risk drying out the inside and it will become dry and hard. This will lead to the singed area becoming puffy and the appearance of the fur coat will be irrevocably damaged. And this is at best! In the worst case, the flesh will crack and a hole will appear in this place, as if from a cut. But that's not what you wanted, is it?
The same applies to a hair dryer. It is highly not recommended to use it to dry a fur coat that has been wet by rain or sleet. You need to dry your fur coat naturally, away from heating devices, but not with a hair dryer, iron or radiator.

Method No. 3
You can also straighten the caked fur of a fur coat if it is wrinkled by taking it out into the cold for several hours. From time to time you need to take care of both the collar and the hood - take a comb with rare teeth and comb in the direction of the pile, and not against it.
