How to remove a water bottle from a cooler - recommendations and advice, expert reviews

Want to know how to change the bottle in your cooler? Then read our step-by-step instructions. Further in the text we will deal with all the nuances of the process of replacing bottles in top- and bottom-loading dispensers. By spending 15 minutes of your time, you will learn how to correctly change the water in the cooler without damaging the equipment.

Installing and replacing a water bottle

Water dispensers, or coolers as they are also called, are produced in two versions: with automated and gravitational stimulation of liquid pressure.
In the first option, liquid is supplied to the tap from the bottom of the container through the dispenser pumping pump. The second option involves the automatic supply of water through the neck of the container, which is placed in a vertical position above the faucet of the device (in a specially designated place). Coolers of both designs are connected to the electrical network, regardless of the method of water supply. Electricity is consumed by the refrigeration compressors and heating plates of the dispenser, so before replacing the bottle, the device is de-energized to prevent possible electric shock.

It is strictly prohibited to turn on the dispenser without the installed container. Only one replacement sequence is correct:

  • turning off the cooler;
  • installing a container with water;
  • air release inside the bottle body;
  • turning on the device.

If this algorithm is violated, the dispenser may burn out or shock the user.

Cleaning the Water Cooler Tank

Another stage of the procedure may vary slightly, depending on what product is used. When all the required elements have been removed, you should begin cleaning the tank.

A cleaning solution of your choice must be poured into the open hole:

  • citric acid (calculated for 5 liters of water - 100 grams);
  • soda (calculation for 5 liters of water - 200 grams);
  • Bior-1 (calculated for 5 liters of water - 125 ml).

Important! When working with any solution, you only need to wear gloves!

If you use lemon juice, then after pouring the solution, you need to connect the cooler to the electrical power supply and turn on the heating function (without cooling). In this state, the device should be left for 5–6 hours, preferably overnight. In the morning, the liquid from the cooler is drained in the same way as the first time. First of all, from the hot water tap, then from the cold water tap, and then from the drain hole. Next, you need to close the valve and taps and refill the dispenser, now with drinking water, in order to wash the device from any remaining solution, scale particles, etc. After 10–15 minutes, remove the water using the well-known method.

The difference between cleaning a cooler with soda and citric acid is that the solution remains in the tank for only 2–3 hours. Otherwise everything is similar.

If the procedure is carried out using the Bior-1 disinfectant, then the device does not need to be plugged into the network. The solution needs to be kept in the tank for about an hour and drained. Then pour in clean water, turn on the device for 30 minutes, turn off and remove the water.

If you have identified a breakdown of the purifier and want to get rid of the problem on your own, then use our instructions for diagnosing and eliminating common problems:

Actions with the container before installation

Before installing 19L bottled water into the cooler, the following algorithm of actions is performed:

  • treat the bottle body with a disinfectant;
  • remove the protective film from the neck;
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and remove the hygienic seal from the neck of the container.

This sequence of actions is determined by the safety of those who will drink water from the cooler. Employees of supplying companies are not required to issue and provide sanitary certificates for the supply of water to homes and offices, so it is very important to hygienically treat the bottle body before installation.

If you bought drinking water in 19 liter bottles and received containers without hygienic protection, you should think about finding a responsible supplier.

Use the correct cleaning materials

To clean the purifier you will need:

brush, toothbrush;

clean wet and dry cloth;

any liquid dishwashing detergent (or soap-based solution);

50 ml of disinfectant “Cryodez” (or soda: for 1 tbsp. 1 tsp);

50 ml of Biolight N descaling agent (or citric acid per 2 liters 250 g);

disinfectant for cleaning work “Mr. Muscle” or any other;

tap water and a container for preparing products.

How to install a container in a bottom-loading dispenser

Bottom-loading coolers differ from others in that they simplify bottle replacement and do not require serious physical effort. Heavy bottled water 19L does not need to be installed on the top of the body; just insert the container into the bottom of the device. The installation process can be described as follows:

  • the bottle is treated with a disinfectant composition and placed on the floor near the cooler;
  • remove the plug after removing the protective film and seal;
  • a cap with a telescopic rod for supplying water is pulled out from the bottom of the cooler;
  • the rod is lowered to the bottom of the container through the neck;
  • press the cap, drowning it until a characteristic click is heard;
  • To complete the installation, the bottle is placed at the bottom of the cooler;

Before installing the water intake rod into the neck of the bottle, it is thoroughly treated with a disinfectant. The removed plug should be saved - it is inserted into an empty container before installing a new one.

Cleaning the cooler surface

Now it’s time to treat the surface of the cooler. To wash the cooler, use detergents without chlorine, those that are used in most cases for washing dishes.

  1. Before disinfection, the device must be wiped with a wet cloth to remove biofilm from the surface of the cooler, as it protects bacteria from being eliminated. If you disinfect immediately, the chemicals will only burn the biofilm and will not destroy the bacteria.
  2. Prolonged contact with the disinfectant properly disinfects the surface. After removing the biofilm with a rag, you need to wash the surface of the cooler with a disinfectant.
  3. After finishing with disinfectant, the surface of the cooler must be wiped dry. Dry environment, water vaporization is bad for bacteria.
  4. Wipe all surfaces of the cooler with a wet cloth, including the grille on the rear wall and the electrical power cord.

Replacing the bottle in a top loading dispenser

Installing a container in a top loading cooler is not as easy as it may seem. To correctly replace 19 liter bottled water, you will have to make considerable physical efforts, following the following algorithm:

  1. The empty bottle is removed from the cooler and placed not far from the device. It will be picked up by the supply company employees who bring the water.
  2. Holding the full bottle by the neck, carefully roll it towards the dispenser, twisting the bottom with your free hand. This method will save a lot of effort before installation and will help avoid deformation of the container body.
  3. It is necessary to check the presence of a seal and hygienic film on the new container. If there is no protection, it is better to refrain from replacing and contact the supplying company.
  4. If the protective shell of the bottle is not damaged, remove the hygiene film and sticker. Before doing this, you must wash your hands or wear clean gloves.
  5. Treat the seat and the area for installing the bottle neck with a disinfectant.
  6. Grasp the neck with one hand, tilt the container and, holding the bottom with your free hand, lift the bottle to chest level. Tilt the neck towards the body and place the container in the dispenser mounting hole. The bottle cap is inserted into the neck of the cooler strictly vertically; it is quite difficult to miss the dispenser needle. Therefore, even an inexperienced user can cope with this process, the main thing is to make enough effort to lift 19 liters of bottled water.

It is strictly forbidden to install a container with a damaged hygienic seal on the body. If a defect is discovered, you need to replace the bottle with the supplier company. This water cannot be used for drinking; it is only suitable for technical purposes.

Possible problems when replacing a bottle and solutions

If, after successfully changing the bottle, you find a puddle on the floor the next day, you must perform the following steps:

  • disconnect the cooler from the electrical network and wipe the puddle with a rag or sponge;
  • replace the container with a new one, following the instructions;
  • wait 30-40 minutes after installation - if a new puddle does not form, it means you have encountered a container with a defect.

The hygiene seal on the bottle neck may not have been removed. But if water continues to drain from the dispenser body, call a repairman or take the device to a service center under warranty. Repair is also necessary if the cooler does not heat or cool the water - in this case the thermostat or fuse is faulty.

  4. 15 minutes after turning on the hot water key, pour the heating tank through the tap again. Five glasses of 200 ml or one liter mug.
  5. Pour the Biolight N solution into a container. Turn off button.

Installing a bottle on a top-loading cooler

Water coolers are increasingly appearing in modern homes. This is a convenient way to always have drinking liquid, which is an integral part of life. For coolers you need to buy water in 19 liter bottles. The consumption of this amount of liquid is quite long, which significantly reduces costs.

There are bottom-loading and top-loading coolers. In the first case, the installation process is quite simple, since sufficient experience and technology are not required. When installing a bottle in a top-loading cooler, you must follow several rules so as not to damage the device.

Sequence of actions when installing a bottle in a cooler

The standard water volume for coolers is 19 liters. This is a fairly heavy bottle that a man can lift and install. Each bottle has a cap with a special sticker, called a hygienic seal, which protects against water leakage during transportation. The steps for installing a bottle into a top-loading cooler are as follows:

  1. Remove the shrink film from the plug.
  2. Wash your hands and peel off the seal (round sticker).
  3. Turn the bottle upside down and place it in the special bottle receptacle provided on the device.
  4. Check whether air access to the bottle is open (if there are any bubbles at the top).
  5. If there is airiness, you must press the hot water supply button until water begins to flow out.

What to avoid during installation

Experts strongly do not recommend connecting a cooler to a power outlet that does not have a water bottle installed, as this can lead to malfunction of the device. If the bottle is damaged or not tightly closed, then the water in it is not suitable for use and it is not recommended to install it.

Without removing the sticker from the cork, you can contribute to the development of bacteria and contamination of the liquid, because dissolved glue or paper may get into it. Remaining particles of the seal can contaminate the water channels and ruin the cooler as a whole.

When replacing a bottle while the device is connected to the network, there is a danger of breaking the equipment, since inadvertently spilled drops will cause parts to break.

To increase the operational life of the cooler, it is best to regularly clean the device of mineral deposits and disinfect the reservoir. Sanitation of the cooler is required every 3-6 months.

Hygiene rules

Despite the presence of disposable protective films on the bottle, you should always clean your hands with an antiseptic when changing water. This will prevent contaminants from getting into the liquid, which could cause it to spoil.

It is also necessary to periodically disinfect the device; it is recommended to do this once a month of using the device. To do this, after removing the bottle, completely rinse the taps with an antiseptic and clean off the accumulated plaque.

The outer casing of the cooler also needs to be cleaned. Use a soap solution for this, wiping its entire surface, including the tray under the taps and the bottle.

What bottles look like for top-loading and bottom-loading coolers

Replacing a water bottle in bottom-loading and top-loading machines requires a fundamentally different approach to work. However, both devices use exactly the same container formats. Moreover, the supply of water for the cooler is possible only in three containers:

  • 8-liter bottles with an adapter - such containers are supplied to private homes and mini-offices;
  • 13-liter (3-gallon) bottles - such containers are supplied to large offices and small cafes;
  • 19-liter (5-gallon) containers - such containers are supplied to large companies and large restaurants.

The necks of the containers are designed in the same way, so changing the bottle follows the same pattern, suitable for all models of coolers. Until recently, cooler owners were only supplied with heavy glass containers. Currently, bottled water manufacturers supply their products only in polymer containers. Polycarbonate containers are easier to install on top-loading dispensers. But plastic also has its disadvantages.

Do not place a plastic container in the sun - polycarbonate does not withstand prolonged contact with ultraviolet radiation. In addition, polymer containers should not be placed near strong-smelling substances or products. Polycarbonate absorbs pungent odors, releasing them to water.

Cleaning the cooler from germs:

This procedure is best performed before loading a fresh water bottle.

  1. First of all, turn the toggle switch to the Off position. (OFF) and unplug the power cord from the outlet. Wait 10-15 minutes for the hot water in the tank to cool down.
  2. Remove the water container and unfasten the wall-mounted holder from the back of the cooler. Turn the back of the device away from the wall surface.
  3. Drain the water from the cold and hot taps into clean containers. Open the rear drain holes and drain the water from them. Avoid direct contact with hot water. Keep children and pets away from the device while draining the water. Place the lid and silicone stopper in such a way that they do not get lost. Always maintain the order when draining: first you need to drain from 2 taps, then from the drain hole.
  4. Remove the water catcher (bottle receiver) by turning it counterclockwise. Add water to the top edge of the reservoir. It is recommended to do a full course of cleaning your cooler with the bottled water you drink. If you don’t have that much water available, you can use tap water.
  5. Add 50 ml of Cryodez disinfectant to the tank (or soda per 1 tbsp. 1 tsp or other product). Open the taps to fill the tank quickly enough. When water comes out of the taps in a continuous stream without air, the tanks are completely filled. You can close the taps.
  6. Mix the water in the tank with Cryodes. Leave the product in the disinfection tank for 30 minutes. You cannot remove the taps at this time, since the tank is filled with water. Otherwise, water will pour out through the taps at the same time as the disinfectant.
  7. Using brushes and brushes, clean the internal parts of the water collector, the separator, the cooling tank and the water channels at the bottom of the tank.
  8. After every 10 minutes, pour water into a glass and pour it into the reservoir. So 3 times in half an hour. Five glasses of 200 ml or one liter mug.
  9. Then drain the disinfectant solution.

Washing removable parts

Now you should wash the removable parts of the cooler (after disinfection, you can wash the water collector; after completely descaling, you can wash the taps, pipe lines, and drip trays). The pipe lines are located between the tank and the taps. The taps are unscrewed counterclockwise.

    Remove the lines from the pipes. Wash them with a sponge and brush with dishwashing disinfectant and rinse with water. Then install them in place. Water collectors for certain coolers usually consist of 1 part, for other models - of 5 parts.

After disassembling the faucet into parts, wash it with a brush and detergent for disinfection. You should also clean out the drains of the faucets on the cooler.

  • Clean the front panel of the cooler housing (under the taps). Mister Muscle can be used as a disinfectant for cleaning work. You should not scratch the faucet outside or inside, as in the middle you can damage the parts of the faucet and water will leak from it. On the outside, scale will settle faster at the site of scratches.
  • Before installing the taps in place, you should screw the fum tape onto the threads of the taps. If this is not done, there may be water leaks through the threads.

What to do with the bottle before loading

Before you start installing the container into the dispenser, you need to do the following:

  • wipe the body with a disinfectant composition;
  • remove the protective film from the neck;
  • Wash your hands and remove the hygienic seal from the neck.

Why such difficulties? First of all, this is necessary for safety. Employees of companies that undertake to supply water to offices and homes are not required to show their employer their sanitary certificates. Therefore, before installing the container, it is worth carrying out basic sanitary treatment of the external surface.

What to do if you are supplied with containers without a hygienic seal? Of course, change the supplier company. Bottled water manufacturers who refuse to provide a product with minimal protections do not deserve your attention or money.

When to remove the plug

In coolers with bottom installation, as well as when using a pump, in some cases you need to completely remove the plastic plug from the tank. At the same time, do not touch parts of the neck with your hands and make sure that dust does not get on them. This is important if, for example, water is delivered to your home, where it is consumed slowly and the danger of bacterial growth is quite high.

Depending on the design, the neck plug can be twisted or removed. In the latter case, it is necessary to first separate the protective ring. This must be done carefully so as not to damage parts of the neck.

How to properly install a bottle on a bottom-loading cooler

Bottom loading of the cooler does not require serious physical effort when changing containers. Indeed, in this case, the container is not raised to the level of the lid, but placed in a niche located at the bottom of the device. Step-by-step installation instructions are as follows:

  • the bottle is placed on the floor near the dispenser;
  • after removing the film and hygienic seal, remove the stopper from the container;
  • in the lower part of the dispenser body, open the door and take out a fitting (cap) with a telescopic rod for collecting liquid from the internal niche;
  • the rod is inserted into the neck, lowered to the very bottom;
  • To complete installation, you need to press the fitting with your palm, pressing the cap until it clicks;
  • Finally, the container with the attached fitting is placed in the housing niche.

Before installing the water intake rod into the neck, it should be wiped with an alcohol solution or doused with boiling water. The cork removed from the container is inserted into the neck of an empty bottle, which was removed from the body before the new container was installed.

What is needed for cleaning?

In domestic conditions, citric acid is considered the best way to internally clean a dispenser from scale, mold and bio-scale. To clean the external parts, use dish soap. Since lemon juice is not always available, you can clean the purifier from blockages with soda, but without vinegar. If the contamination is serious, and the means at hand cannot cope, the best option for such cleaning and disinfection is “Bior-1”. It is diluted in the following proportion: 25 grams per 1 liter of water.

Tools that need to be prepared for the procedure:

  • oilcloth on the floor;
  • clean bucket;
  • gloves;
  • clean brushes of various diameters;
  • microfiber cloths.

Preparation and initial disassembly of the dispenser

Before clearing the purifier of any blockages, it must be turned off from the electrical power. Next, remove the empty bottle and leave the device alone for 1-2 hours so that the hot water in the tank cools down. Cover the place where the procedure will be carried out with oilcloth.

We advise you to find out how to remove water-soluble paint from the ceiling.

Next, the cooler must be installed on the oilcloth. Remove water from the taps one by one, first from the hot one, then from the cold one. Then drain the remains from a specialized hole by unscrewing the safety valve. The drain hole may be on the back wall or at the bottom of the device, depending on the model. Once all the water has come out, the valve should be returned to its place.

Next, remove the bottle receiver by turning it counterclockwise. At this point the preparation stage is over.

How to change a bottle in a top loading cooler

Changing the top bottle is not as easy as it seems. To change a 19-liter container, you will need to make physical efforts, proceeding according to the following scheme:

  1. The container without water is removed from the dispenser and placed on the floor, next to the body. Any person can handle this job. The empty container is collected by couriers or supply managers who supply water to your home or office.
  2. Roll the full bottle to the cooler, holding the neck and twisting the bottom with your hands. This will help you save effort before you begin to place the container on the platform, raising it to chest level.
  3. Before changing bottles, check all seals and protective films on the new container. If they are broken, do not replace them.
  4. If everything is fine with the films and seals, remove the protection and remove the hygiene sticker. Before doing this, you need to put on sterile gloves.
  5. Wipe the seat and the entire area where you will insert the neck with a disinfecting wipe.
  6. Take the neck with your gloved hand, tilt the bottle and, holding the bottom with the other hand, lift the container to chest level. Tilt the neck towards the body and simply insert the bottle into the mounting hole. At this stage, you can be insured by a second person.
  7. The mounting hole is made in such a way that the user can insert the bottle cap into the neck of the cooler strictly vertically, with the hole hitting the dispenser needle even blindly. Believe me, you will not miss the needle in any case. In this case, it is much more difficult to lift a 20-kilogram container than to correctly insert a needle into a cork.

Descaling products

You can use a solution of citric acid and vinegar to remove scale. This is a universal remedy; its range of applications is quite wide.

Descaling step by step:

  1. Pour the solution into the tanks.
  2. Plug in the cooler.
  3. Once fully heated, leave it on for 30 minutes.
  4. Sometimes drain a glass of solution and add a new one. Repeat the procedure twice.
  5. Drain off all the water.
  6. Use a brush to clean accessible areas.
  7. Fill the reservoirs with flushing fluid. The procedure must be repeated a couple of times.

Meaningful descaling will help you avoid a number of problems. The taste of drinks changes, the dispenser fails in advance, the heating time of the liquid increases, and corrosion occurs.

The heating tubular heating element suffers the most from scale. It's not expensive to replace. But its malfunction can break the system. After replacement Everything should work fine.

What to do after installing the bottle in the dispenser

We've figured out what to do if you want to exchange an empty bottle for a full container. Now you need to understand how to put the dispenser into operation. To do this you need to do the following:

  1. Once you are done inserting the bottle into the receiving hole, you need to check the water supply. To do this, open the hot and cold line taps. If water came out of the tap, the bottle was changed correctly.
  2. Next, you need to release the air lock that formed while you were inserting the bottle into the dispenser. To do this, you need to insert a large cup with a capacity of 0.5 liters into the tray and drain water from a hot and cold tap into it. When the plug goes away, the water will flow in an even stream.
  3. After you change the cup a second time, removing the air lock along with half a liter of water from each tap, the cooler will be ready to connect. To finish the job, all you have to do is plug it into the network.
  4. You will receive cold water only after an hour, and hot water will come out of the tap in 5-10 minutes, when the device heats the radiator of the “red” tap and cools the heat exchanger of the “blue” valve.

If you are lazy or skimp on water and do not bleed the air, the thermostat fuse will de-energize the device the first time you try to heat the empty radiator of the hot tap. Moreover, you cannot change the fuse yourself. It is inserted at the service center.

Do-it-yourself cleaning with lemon acid

Cleansing with lemon acid is a very simple and inexpensive method. It is harmless and perfectly removes dirt.

What to do. Sequence of actions:

  1. Unplug the cooler from the outlet.
  2. Wipe off dirt and dust.
  3. Disassemble the cooler. Remove all detachable parts and wash them. When disassembling, remember how the parts are fixed.
  4. Wash the drip collection well; in most cases this is the most contaminated place.
  5. Remove water.
  6. The remainder of the system must be drained through the water drain plug.
  7. Do it at home or purchase a solution. For a homemade solution, you will need to dissolve 100 grams of citric acid in five liters of drinking water.
  8. Remove the bottle receivers and pour the solution into the cooler.
  9. Give the liquid time to fill all containers. If necessary, add solution.
  10. Connect the device to the network.
  11. Wait until the water is completely heated and unplug the cooler from the outlet.
  12. The solution must work. This will take about five hours. After this, drain the water completely again.
  13. Washing. To do this, fill the containers with drinking water and drain through the taps. Repeat if necessary.
  14. Before installing a new bottle, you must check whether you have closed the drain plug.

Possible problems and solutions

If you tried to change the bottle, and a day later you found a large puddle on the floor, then you will have to do the following:

  • unplug the appliance and remove the water with a sponge and paper towels;
  • change the bottle to a new, full container;
  • wait half an hour - if the water does not appear, it means that you have come across a bottle with a defect. If water continues to flow onto the floor, call a repairman.

If the cooler does not heat or cool the water, call a technician right away. In this case, your thermostat or fuse has burned out, which can only be replaced at a service center.

If your dispenser is leaking, try replacing the bottle. Perhaps you did not remove the hygienic seal from the neck. Residue could get into the supply line and block the valve mechanism.

Connecting and operating the cooler

Coolers or dispensers , no matter what word you use, in the modern world have long and firmly become one of the mandatory attributes of any office. Every day the number of people who prefer to use coolers at home is steadily increasing, due to their convenience and versatility, and the quality of bottled water is definitely not an unimportant factor against the background of the modern realities of running water in urban water supply.

The variety of coolers in terms of configuration and functionality is so extensive that it allows you to choose the ideal option for your needs. One device is capable of performing several tasks at once, in addition to simply pouring water and cooling it, a modern cooler also acts as a thermopod - it heats water and maintains the temperature in the range of 86-95 C, which will allow you to abandon the use of a classic kettle. A number of devices have the function of carbonating and/or ozonating water, which is an undeniable advantage for soda lovers.

Things to remember when using the cooler:

In fact, the operation of water coolers should not cause any difficulties, however, as for any technical device, there are several conditions, compliance with which during the first start-up and during further use will protect you from premature shelves and reduce maintenance costs.

Here are some simple but significant rules:

  1. Make sure that the device is turned off from the electrical system when replacing the water bottle.
  2. After installing a new bottle, before connecting the device to the network, make sure that the tanks are completely filled with water and there is no air lock; to do this, drain about a glass of water. Compliance with this rule will save you from the thermal protection triggering, including the breakdown of the heating element!
  3. When installing a new bottle of water, follow both the basic rules of personal hygiene and the rules of sanitization and control of the cleanliness of the cooler.
  4. Many factors influence the preservation of the original quality of water: storage conditions, proper operation, etc. Observe the temperature conditions in the place where the cooler is used and where additional bottles of water are stored. Try to limit exposure of the device and water to sunlight as much as possible.
  5. If it is necessary to turn off heating and/or cooling, use switches, completely disconnect from the power source, only for a long period.

Do not use bottles with low quality water, including running water from city water supply and water containing carbon dioxide! By taking care of what you drink, you are taking care of your health!

Installation, first connection and further operation

When choosing a location for installing the cooler, do not neglect the information specified in the instructions included in the kit. For most models, the installation requirements are the same; failure to comply with them does not have a favorable effect on both the performance of the device itself and the quality of the water:

  • Focus on the stability and strength of the surface where you plan to install the cooler. When installing the cooler, make sure that it is level and not tilted to the side. Do not install the cooler on foreign objects; most models have adjustable legs; if necessary, level the position of the device with them;
  • The placement of the cooler should maintain a free space of about 20 cm behind the back panel of the device. Avoid placing the cooler close to a wall or interior items for its normal ventilation and to prevent overheating;
  • limit exposure to direct sunlight as much as possible in the area where the cooler is used and where additional bottles of water are stored, since the taste of the water directly depends on this;
  • It is PROHIBITED to place devices in close proximity to heating and heating devices;
  • the use of coolers is permissible only in indoor areas, subject to temperature conditions and relative air humidity (permissible values t +10-+25 C and 90%);
  • It is prohibited to install and store the device in a room with a temperature below 0.

DANGEROUS! To avoid a short circuit, DO NOT connect the cooler with other electrical appliances to the same power source.

It would seem that there is no need to remind about the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and sanitizing the neck of the bottle, water inlet and cooler needle, but it is never superfluous.

Despite the packaging of the new device in protective film and a disposable sticker on the neck of the new bottle, there is a possibility of dust getting in during transportation. Therefore, we strongly recommend that before putting a new cooler into operation, wipe it with a clean, damp cloth. It is also important, each time you replace a bottle with a new one, to wet clean the device itself and the neck of the bottle to prevent bacteria from getting into the water.

  • completely remove packaging materials from the cooler and bottle;
  • install the cooler at the place of further use;
  • perform wet cleaning;
  • after short transportation, wait 2-3 hours before turning on for the first time;
  • install the bottle into the cooler's receiving socket with light pressure, without hitting it;
  • wait until the tanks are completely filled with water;
  • drain approximately one glass of water to remove any air trapped in the tanks;
  • connect the cooler to the power supply;
  • Set the heating and cooling switches to position O (located on the rear panel of the cooler).
  • light indicators (red - hot; green - cold) light up during heating and/or cooling of water (hot up to 95 degrees, cold up to 8-12 degrees).
  • Before operating the refrigerator, when connecting the cooler for the first time (if equipped, depending on the model), wait until the chamber has cooled down sufficiently (about 2 hours).

Drink water after the indicator lights go off. In order to obtain sufficient water temperature for brewing, do not pour more than 2-3 glasses of hot water at a time.

Hygiene rules:

I would like to emphasize the importance of following basic sanitary standards when operating the cooler and its regular cleaning and treatment.

The quality of the water in the bottle after it is installed in the device is determined by keeping the device clean and observing hygiene rules during replacement. Thus, you need to understand that maintaining cleanliness is not just a duty, but rather a necessity due to which the quality of water will remain unchanged.

Disinfecting the device and bottle each time it is replaced with a new one, as well as after long-term non-use and/or storage of the device, will prevent bacteria from entering the water.

Did you know that failure to follow seemingly trivial hygiene rules can lead to bacteria getting into the water? And their active reproduction is especially noticeable on sunny summer days, which is what determines the requirement to install the cooler in a place that excludes direct sunlight. Despite the fact that most bacteria that enter water are usually not pathogens, it is worth remembering that prolonged consumption of contaminated and contaminated water will negatively affect your health, so always be attentive to the color, taste and smell of the water you drink. Always keep it clean!

  1. wash your hands before replacing the bottle with a new one, try not to touch the neck of the bottle with your hands;
  2. limit exposure to direct sunlight and water as much as possible in the area where the cooler is used, store new replacement bottles in a dark, cool place;
  3. Avoid getting particles of packaging material into the device and water, this usually causes clogging of the water supply system and contamination of the water;
  4. control the cleanliness of the water inlet and the water inlet needle;
  5. control the cleanliness of the tap spout, make sure that the spout does not touch the dishes when dispensing water, do not touch the spout with your hands;
  6. regularly sanitize and wash the cooler, at least every six months;
  7. After wet cleaning, always wipe the cooler surface dry;
  8. During wet cleaning, it is PROHIBITED to use products containing chlorine, abrasives and organic solvents. It is enough to use regular dishwashing detergent;
  9. in dusty enterprises, regularly replace air filters in pumps (can be ordered from us).

The frequency of regular cleaning of salts and scale, as well as removal of biofilm, depends on the intensity of use of the cooler. It is advisable to carry out prophylaxis every 6 months. This will extend the service life and prevent burnout of the heating element.

Transportation and storage

Transporting coolers with an electronic cooling system should not cause any difficulties, since transportation in any position is acceptable, even horizontally. The compressor cooler (a device with a radiator grille on the rear panel) must be transported in a vertical position. If the compressor cooler was transported in a horizontal position, then after installing it in a vertical position and before using it, be sure to give it time to settle (about a day). When transporting this type of cooler, be careful and careful: impacts and dents may cause microcracks to form on the compressor grille, which will lead to refrigerant leakage and, as a result, poor cooling.

You can transfer most coolers yourself in the back seat of your car.

During a long non-operational period and/or if it is necessary to transport the device, completely drain the water from the device system!

  1. turn the heating and cooling switches to position O;
  2. disconnect the cooler from the power supply;
  3. remove the bottle from the cooler;
  4. drain the residual water from the internal tanks by opening the water supply tap (if the water is hot, wait until it cools down);
  5. then drain the residual water from the system by opening the drain plug, located on the bottom of a desktop dispenser, and two drain plugs on the back of the device for an electronic cooler.

Attention! Do not disturb the order when draining the liquid: first drain the water through the supply taps, and only then from the drain hole.

How to “mothball” a dispenser

If you are not going to change the bottle in the next month, your device needs to be properly “mothballed”. To do this you need to do the following:

  • remove the water container (or empty bottle);
  • open the drain valve of the supply system (it is located at the base of the housing);
  • drain the remaining liquid from the internal pipeline;
  • leave the drain valve open for a day;
  • close the valve and pack the dispenser in a plastic case or plastic wrap.

If you do not plan to change the device this year, try to adhere to this rule during every long period of downtime. By following these instructions, you will extend the life of your dispenser to 8-10 years. During this time, you will only have to change the fuses or thermostats. The main part of the supply system will work for you without failures or complaints.
