Step stabilizers are voltage equalizers with electronic switching of autotransformer windings. They are similar in principle to relay ones, only the taps of the autotransformer are connected using thyristors and triacs. Electromechanical (servo-drive)

Servo-drive devices are capable of providing protection for electrical receivers in the range of 6–7%.
