Why do you need to clean your e-cigarette?
Even if you use electronic cigarettes carefully and not too often, fumes accumulate inside. If it is not removed, this leads to deterioration in the operation of the device and premature failure of individual spare parts.
An electronic cigarette clogged with smoke works much less time without recharging; in some cases, liquids leak onto the battery and other parts of the device.
In addition, the accumulated fumes enter the smoker’s lungs, which is very harmful to health. Therefore, cleaning a cigarette should be carried out regularly, in compliance with all rules.
eGo battery disassembly algorithm
Each power source has a certain maximum number of charge-discharge cycles, after which there is no point (possibility) in repairing it. But when the unit is new, then problems can often be fixed. Any eGo electronic cigarette battery consists of the following parts:
- power source;
- buttons;
- boards;
- connector part.
Expensive models may also have a USB connector, a voltage regulator and an additional board.
The seemingly solid structure is disassembled in the following sequence:
- remove the connector part (top) by unscrewing it along the thread, or simply pull it out with pliers wrapped in rubber or fabric;
- pull without effort, loosening the element being removed;
- take out the remaining parts;
- if there is an additional board, hide the plug from below;
- Next, the existing problems are eliminated.
To simplify the process of pulling out the top, you can pry it off with a screwdriver or knife. Work with extreme caution to avoid damaging the battery pack.

How to tell when it's time to clean your cigarette
How often should you clean your electronic cigarette? It is impossible to give a clear answer to this question, since each smoker uses the accessory with varying degrees of intensity. However, there are a number of signs by which it can be determined that cigarette parts need processing:
- reduction in steam density and saturation;
- the appearance of whistling or gurgling sounds when taking puffs;
- “burnt” taste of steam.
If the “filling” of the cigarette is heavily contaminated, steam may not be released at all.
However, you shouldn't wait for this to happen. Start cleaning as soon as you notice one of the signs of contamination of the accessory. How to clean an electronic cigarette, which parts need to be treated? Parts of the device such as the atomizer, cartridge and power supply should be cleaned. This process is not particularly difficult; it is important to follow certain rules and sequence of actions.
The atomizer tank won’t unscrew, what to do if it’s stuck together
Blocking the atomizer tank is a typical problem for both cheap and branded vapes.
If the atomizer tank does not unscrew, this is due to several factors. Firstly, everyone tries to tighten the device as tightly as possible to prevent fluid leakage. Secondly, during operation, the design of the vape is deformed, and a coating forms on the threads, which impairs the rotation of parts.
How to unscrew?
If the atomizer tank does not unscrew, you can solve the problem in the following ways:
- Stop the base. There's no point in putting in too much effort. This is fraught with cracks in the glass, which will become unsuitable for further use. The base can be secured with any thin object that fits into the duct opening. This will help secure the body.
- Latex gloves. The easiest way to unscrew an atomizer, glass or drip tip is to use rubber-based gloves or a similar thin mat. This will prevent your fingers from scrolling along the body of the product.
- Electrical tape and plaster. If you cannot manually disconnect the clearomizer, use pliers. In order not to deform the glass, the vape is wrapped with insulating tape in 1-2 layers; this should be done extremely carefully. The pliers squeeze the tank only lightly, otherwise the glass will be scratched, and in the worst case, it will burst.
When the tank unwinds, it is better to postpone refueling. All this is a consequence of active vaping - the electronic cigarette needs service.
Using a wet cloth or a thin stream from the tap, the joint surfaces are washed and the threads are cleaned. When there are no oily slurry residues on the fastenings, everything is done correctly. Unscrew the rest and rinse thoroughly.
Thanks to this, you can fix the glass with only a few turns: clean parts prevent liquid leakage.
How to use a vape correctly?
Problems with detaching and fixing parts in most cases arise due to violation of the rules of use. Professionals recommend:
- Act carefully and consistently. First, the drip tip is unscrewed, then the tank cap, and only then the glass and atomizer are removed. If everything unfolded chaotically, you shouldn’t be surprised at the problems.
- Protect the electronic cigarette from high temperatures. This may lead to deformation of the glass and case.
- Securely fix the evaporator. It is difficult to screw or unscrew the tank due to the crooked position of the atomizer. This is not uncommon on handmade mech mods and box mods, where you can break the thread or screw in the atomizer at an angle.
- Carefully refill your vape. It is undesirable for liquid to get on the joint surfaces. The oil will penetrate anywhere, including causing the vape to leak.
If for one reason or another the tank leaks after cleaning and tightening, it is probably a manufacturing defect. A rubber ring will help to isolate the joint surfaces, which can be used to lightly cover the openings of the air ducts to improve taste transfer.
Other unscrewing methods
You can unscrew the atomizer from the base or the tank from the evaporator using special substances. During active vaping, a corrosive coating from burning and liquid remains on the inner surface of the electronic device. This leads to boiling of the elements, which are tightly fixed to the thread and are not susceptible to external influences.
VD-40 will help with servicing your vape; the composition is easy to find in any hardware store. Through the holes in the air duct or through the hole for vaping, you should try to drip WD-40 onto the connection and threads of the parts. Then wait 5-10 minutes. During this time, the plaque will dissolve, and the mobility of spare parts will improve.
After cleaning, it is important to rinse the atomizer to remove any residual WD-40.
Why should you be careful with glass?
Glass is the most vulnerable element of a vape device. Owners of rare electronic devices ordered from AliExpress or other foreign resources can verify this. It is difficult to find components for new devices in stationary vape shops.
Cracked glass cannot be repaired. Moreover, with frequent unscrewing and tightening, the crack will spread.
To avoid spending money on buying a new vape, it is wise to clean your electronic cigarette after every second or third refill.

How to properly clean an electronic cigarette in different ways
In order to clean an electronic accessory, you can use several methods. Let's take a closer look at them.
Blowing and flushing
This method is effective for light to moderate contamination of the internal parts of the device. You need to do the following:
- Disassemble the cigarette, disconnect the mouthpiece from the vapor generator.
- Remove the liquid, then blow out the mouthpiece.
- Wash the part in warm water, then blow again and leave to dry for a day.
Assemble the accessory only after making sure that there is no moisture remaining on the parts.
Management
First, the device is disassembled into separate functional blocks. The atomizer unscrews from the battery pack. If you have to deal with a vape that contains a cartomizer, use tweezers to pull out a special contact that holds the reservoir for filling with liquid.
Next, the internal “filling” of the battery pack is released. For these purposes, a plastic tube is used. The latter is inserted into the lumen of the electronic cigarette body. Next, pressure is applied, due to which the batteries are removed. The plastic washer is removed, which can be seen at the bottom of the battery.
The next step involves disconnecting the wires. The conductors can be soldered together. In such a situation, pliers are used. The tool disconnects the wire contacts and removes the glue.
There may be a heavy accumulation of dirt on the surface of the battery. To clean the functional block, use a drill. Using the tool, existing blockages are carefully removed.
Then the metal tape rings, which can be seen at the bottom of the battery, are disconnected. The material unwinds, releasing the battery bridge. All that remains is to remove the spiral presented in the design. For these purposes, the sealing foam is removed. You can cope with the operation using tweezers. The spiral is removed by pushing the wires in the direction away from the energy storage device.
As you can see, there is nothing difficult in disassembling the battery. During the work process, the main thing is not to overdo it. After all, careless actions can lead to irreversible consequences, when the only thing left to do is to send the battery for scrap.
How to clean the vaporizer of an electronic cigarette
How to clean the vaporizer of an electronic cigarette if a large amount of fumes has accumulated inside and ordinary water does not help? Use an alcohol solution and you will quickly deal with the problem. You should proceed like this:
- Disassemble the device into its components.
- Wipe each part with a cotton swab or swab, after moistening it in an alcohol solution (1:1 ratio).
- After removing dirt, rinse the electronic cigarette parts in warm water.
- Dry the parts for 24 hours, then assemble the device.
This method will help to “reanimate” your accessory even in cases of severe contamination.
Other problems, causes and solutions
Let's look at the most common causes of problems with this device.
This is the most common problem due to which the electronic cigarette does not smoke as expected. What to do if the electronic cigarette does not smoke?
This problem may be due to:
- The battery power is not enough for the atomizer to work correctly. The reason may be a lack of charge in the battery, or poor contact between the clearomizer and the battery.
- There is no liquid in the electronic cigarette or there is not enough liquid. For the device to operate, the cartridge must be refilled.
- There is liquid in the air duct. You need to shake the device several times, like a thermometer.
- The puffs are too intense. In this case, you should apply less force when tightening, the duration of which should be five seconds.
- The air channels are blocked. To fix this problem, you need to clean the air intake channel.
The smoke is bitter
Possible causes of device malfunction:
- The service life of the atomizer has expired and needs to be replaced with a new one.
- The voltage on the battery exceeds the norm. It is necessary to adjust the optimal parameters of this parameter for the atomizer, as a result of which bitterness will not be felt, and the smoking process will be comfortable.
- Interruptions in the battery operation, as a result of which the electronic cigarette stopped working in the correct mode. You need to send it for repair or replace it with a new one.
- There is no liquid in the cartridge or there is not enough liquid. In this case, it is necessary to refill the cartridge.
If the indicator on the battery is on or blinking, the button on the battery may have stuck. How to fix an electronic cigarette in this case? You need to lightly tap on it. If no positive changes occur, send it in for repair.
If the clearomizer heats up, you need to make sure that the button on the battery does not turn on spontaneously, which itself is too sensitive. If a clearomizer is found to be leaking, replacing it is inevitable.
An electronic cigarette is a fairly high-tech device. At production, before the gadget reaches the buyer, it undergoes a serious test. This means that the presence of manufacturing defects is reduced to a minimum. Although it is allowed if the vape was manufactured by an unknown manufacturer that produces counterfeits.
Therefore, you should not give in to the temptation to buy a cheap gadget: with this approach, you are unlikely to get a high-quality vaping device. Often this product is susceptible to breakdowns, which can be caused by improper use and untimely cleaning. In most cases, you can fix the malfunctions yourself, without contacting a service center, so you should know what kind of breakdowns the vape is most often susceptible to.
How to clean an e-cigarette atomizer
You can clean the atomizer often in this way; this will prevent serious contamination of the internal parts. The work is done this way:
- Disassemble the electronic cigarette and remove the atomizer.
- Place the part in a container of hot water and leave for an hour.
- Blow out part of the device, then soak again for 2-3 hours.
After re-soaking, remove the atomizer from the water and dry in an upright position for at least 24 hours.
Disassembly tools
Vape devices of modern mods can be easily unscrewed using threads, although there are designs that require tools.
To disassemble a cigarette you need to prepare:
- small tweezers;
- rubber mallet;
- pliers;
- screwdriver;
- a plastic straw with a diameter smaller than a cigarette;
- soldering iron;
- thin drill;
- igloo
Interesting! If the product diagram has been preserved, then it will help to take into account all the nuances of the electronic cigarette device.
How to clean the coil of an electronic cigarette atomizer
The atomizer coil must be cleaned regularly, otherwise an unpleasant aftertaste of accumulated burning will appear during smoking. You need:
- Disassemble the accessory to gain access to the spiral.
- Connect the device to charging.
- By pressing the button, warm up the coil, periodically blowing off the exfoliated carbon from it.
To achieve a better effect, the heated coil can be lowered into a glass of water for 1–2 minutes, after releasing the button.
Disassembly process: step-by-step instructions
Be careful when disassembling to maintain the functionality of the device.
- The cigarette unwinds. Use tweezers to carefully tighten the contacts.
- Now you need to remove the cartridge from the device.
- The battery is bent away from the evaporative part. Movements should be smooth and careful. The device should be bent and unbent in the place where the atomizer is connected to the battery. Such manipulations continue until a gap is formed between the cigarette body and the thread. This takes some time, but you should not rush so as not to damage the gadget.
- Now the body is removed. Here, too, you should be careful, since the connecting wires are quite fragile. If you do not have the skills to disassemble the battery, then the element can simply be replaced with a new one at this point.
- Remove the plastic washer from below. To do this you need to get the wiring. A needle will come in handy in this case, because the wires can be fixed with glue. When completely gluing, it is better to use pliers and then clean the hole with a drill.
- At the bottom of the ribbon (made of metal material) there will be circles that are also removable. The tape is wrapped around the bridge. The material is completely unwound, after which the bridge is removed.
- We remove the spiral by pulling out the wiring coming from the battery. It is possible that tweezers will come in handy at this stage.
Using this scheme, you can disassemble almost any smoking device.
How to clean the tank of an electronic cigarette
An element of an electronic accessory such as a liquid tank requires regular cleaning. You can do it like this:
- Disassemble the device, disconnect the tank.
- Place the part in a container of alcohol and leave for 6 hours.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly under running water.
- Dry the part, use a hairdryer if necessary.
This way you can clean not only the tank, but also the mouthpiece and the evaporator. Do not use any chemicals when cleaning, as they will leave a pungent odor. Treatment with alcohol is enough to keep these accessory parts in order.
How to refill a vape
Now there are a huge number of varieties of vaping. Both box mods and tank misters and drippers. Each device has its own design and method of use and maintenance.
If we are talking about a battery mod, then everything is more or less clear, press the button and bet (of course, there are subtleties in selecting power or temperature, if we are talking about a board).
But in the case of a tank or drip, for a beginner the question immediately arises of how to refill the vape. This is what we will talk about.
Types of refueling
All tanks and drip tanks are divided into 3 types of refills. Top, bottom and side filling. In fact, these are so far the only methods that are used to refill tank tanks. And they depend on the manufacturer and design.
Refilling tanks
Bottom filling of the vape
Bottom filling is now practically not used. Previously, it was applicable on the so-called EGoshki. You look at it like this. The tank is unscrewed from the atomizer and liquid is poured into it.
Next, the battery mod is screwed onto the tank, which is in the “upside down” position. This type of refill is used in the starter kit, iJust 2.
This type of refilling is not entirely convenient, since you have to partially disassemble the atomizer and turn the battery mod over.
Top refill vape
Another way to refill a vape is through top filling. It is presented in the ijust S starter kit. Apparently, the developers took into account the inconvenience of bottom filling of the previous device and decided to make changes.
Namely, there is now no need to turn the mod upside down. It became enough to unscrew the top cap and fill the tank with liquid.
It is in this fashion that there are wide holes that make refilling quite comfortable.
Side filling
Probably the most common way to refill tank tanks. The filling hole is located on the side. In my opinion, this is not the most convenient way to refuel. Since the bottle of liquid has to be held not completely vertically, the liquid may spill or flow out of the hole.
How to clean the clearomizer of an electronic cigarette
In addition to classic models, there are options for electronic cigarettes with a clearomizer. Such a device needs regular cleaning no less than a classic gadget.
The clearomizer can be one-piece or assembled. Solid parts do not require cleaning; after 6–7 weeks of operation they must be replaced. And cleaning the prefabricated version will not cause any difficulties; you should start as soon as you notice that the aftertaste of the steam has acquired an unpleasant bitterness.
You need to disassemble the accessory and wash all parts with warm water. This must be done carefully, removing all contaminants. After the parts have dried, the cigarette can be assembled. It is better to clean regularly, at least once every 2-3 months.
- Go to the store
Hello everyone, today we will talk about a recent new product called Smok TFV8. I would call it an intimidating tank :) Huge-sized non-service areas, a serviced base, enlarged air ducts and a steam pipeline (shaft), everything here speaks of an emphasis on the amount of steam, a tank for clouds, let's look at what it is.
Weight 73 grams. Made of stainless steel. Holds 6 milliliters of liquid. The kit may include an RBA base with Velocity stands. Dimensions: 24.5 mm * 65 mm (including the height of the included drip tip).
Supplied in a cardboard box. Smokes have the same box for many devices. On the front is the name of the tank and an image: On the side are replaceable bases: On the back is the equipment and so on: On the other side is a code for checking authenticity: Inside is a black box made of thick cardboard, with a lot of stuff under the foam rubber. The equipment is rich:
Included: - spare glass - cotton wool - evaporator and serviceable base - hex wrench - spare bolts - adapter for 510 drip tip - spare gasket for refilling - black and orange vape bend (rings) - instructions - 3 spare O-rings
Appearance - the tank was not impressive in appearance, following in the footsteps of the TFV4, so to speak, it only seems a little pot-bellied when compared with 22 mm tanks - yes, it’s just a monster. Constructive.
Nothing will surprise you. On top there is a wide drip tip made of Delrin, it sits on two o-rings, and of course it will not heat up. The lid, like in the TFV4, is hinged, snaps tightly, and... in my opinion, this is the best refill today... there is no snot like on the Krius. But at first it opens and closes quite tightly. There is a gasket at the bottom (a spare one is included in the kit), the hole for such a tank is small, but I didn’t have any problems, I inserted a pipette and filled it without difficulty. Next, we disassemble the tank, unscrew the top part (shaft, lid) and with it the glass itself. The glass sits on the o-ring (not tightly), changing it will be as easy as shelling pears. Also on the dome itself there is another o-ring, and a thread - it connects to the evaporator or the serviced base. Inside view: Next come the evaporators or the base - whoever chooses what, they are threaded into the base. The base (base), you can rinse everything thoroughly, and also adjust the tightening force. The tightening is regulated by a ring that has notches. And here, in my case, the tank has a headache - the ring rotates without a stopper, the first time I tried to unscrew the evaporator, nothing happened, apparently the thread was stuck, but since the ring is without a stopper, I couldn’t do much with my hands... somehow I managed to unscrew it with the help of a towel ... but I didn’t like the quality of the thread on the base; periodically, when changing the base to an evaporator, it gets slightly snagged. Maybe I came across such a copy - I don’t know, I haven’t looked at any reviews of this tank. The tightening of the tank is unrealistically loose, which is understandable; it is necessary to blow these monsters with 4 spirals. The tightening ring rotates gently and is unlikely to move on its own. From below, the pin protrudes slightly, but I would not recommend screwing it onto mechanical mods with a hybrid connector. Since it’s floating, let’s say you didn’t unscrew the tank from the mechanical mod - you unscrewed the evaporator and that’s it - the pin moves, you set up the service and it turns out that the pin is not pressed all the way - you get a short circuit. This is where the design of the tank essentially ends. Next we will talk about evaporators and a service base with two spirals. If we say something about the design, the quality is generally good, the tank is simple and large, the top filling is convenient, the glass fits tightly. I didn’t like the airflow adjustment ring without a stopper and the quality of the thread on the base.
How to care for the cartridge and battery
The cartridge and power supply do not require special care; it is important to follow the basic rules for operating these components:
- The battery should be fully charged before using the e-cigarette;
- The duration of the first battery charge should be at least 12 hours;
- It is not recommended to allow liquids to come into contact with the battery.
Clean the battery using a dry cloth; just wipe the surfaces.
The cartridge also does not require special care. However, you need to know how to use it correctly. First of all, this part must be washed regularly and thoroughly dried, and only then begin to replace the fluid.
In addition, the atomizer must not be allowed to come into contact with the cartridge in the part where the coil is located. Compliance with these rules will help preserve parts and extend their service life.
Battery faults
The battery is the heart of the electronic cigarette and requires especially careful handling. Devices intended for beginners (eGo format cigarettes and some higher-end models) use different degrees of protection against breakdowns: from overcharging, overdischarging, short circuit, which can lead to the vape exploding, etc.
Unlike mechanical mods, you won't be able to cause the power supply to explode, but less serious malfunctions are still possible.
Some breakdowns are associated with violation of the rules for using lithium-ion batteries in general:
- the battery discharges quickly;
- the battery does not charge;
- The battery does not supply current to the evaporator when the fire button is pressed, although there is a charge.
The solution is to replace the cell if it is replaceable (you can buy a new 18650 battery at any vape shop for 600–800 rubles), or throw away the cigarette if replacement is not provided.
The cigarette (if it is not a mechanical mod) reports about repairable battery failures using an indication - either a message on the LED screen or blinking LED. If the vape blinks and does not work, the breakdown may be caused by:
Short circuit - occurs when the battery contact is shorted to the cigarette body. The solution is to bend the terminal and screw the evaporator not all the way. To definitely get rid of the problem, the contact needs to be isolated - for this it is better to send the ES to a service center.
Evaporator resistance too low. The solution is to replace the spiral.
No contact with the evaporator. The solution is to tighten the latter more tightly and check its terminals. In eGo format cigarettes, it is also possible for the central contact to be pressed, which occurs when the clearomizer or charger is screwed too tightly to the battery
To fix this, the contact must be pryed with a needle and carefully lifted. Contamination of contacts, due to which current conductivity deteriorates. The solution is to clean the terminals with alcohol.
You cannot wash a cigarette with water - if water gets inside the case, the electronic circuits on the board will burn out.
If your new e-cigarette does not work and blinks frequently, it needs to be charged.
Cutoff. The battery automatically switches off if the puff is too long to prevent the coil from overheating. To avoid this, you should not puff for more than 10-15 seconds.
The indicator may behave differently depending on the model of the electronic cigarette: the number of blinks may be different, and sometimes the color of the backlight may change. Details about the types of signals of a particular model can be found in the instructions for it.
How to extend the life of an accessory
To make your cigarette last longer, follow these recommendations:
- Clean the main parts of the device regularly;
- When cleaning the atomizer, soak it in water for several hours;
- Before assembly, dry the parts for at least a day, use a hair dryer if necessary.
If you carefully care for the components, no fumes will accumulate in the device, and you will be able to use the accessory without harm to your health.
Methods for cleaning the evaporator
Caring for an atomizer (evaporator) involves washing, cleaning or burning it. This electronic cigarette module should be cleaned not only for prevention (this should be done at least once a week), but also if you decide to change the taste of the smoking e-liquid.
Flushing
Before you start rinsing the atomizer, remove the wick from the coil and thoroughly blow the atomizer to remove any remaining liquid. This is done from the side of the contact going to the battery, because there is a special reservoir in the area where the battery is connected. The purpose of the latter, designed on the principle of a “non-spill” inkwell, is to collect residual liquid and prevent it from getting onto the contact group. Therefore, it is possible to remove residual moisture by blowing only from this side of the miser.
By the way, if a lot of liquid accumulates in the safety tank, the electronic cigarette begins to gurgle, which causes anxiety among inexperienced vapers.
After blowing, you should hold the part under a stream of warm water for several minutes so that it flows through the evaporator. Now blow the miser again and let it dry (contact side up) overnight, and blow it thoroughly again.
Cleaning
This procedure is more labor-intensive, and the need for it arises in case of prolonged use of the gadget without preventive cleaning. As a result, a layer of soot forms on the spiral, which cannot be removed by ordinary washing.
To clean a “coked” heater, you can use Coca-Cola or a vinegar solution (1 tablespoon of 9% vinegar per 1 glass of water). Soak the miser in any of the solutions recommended above for several hours, or better yet, overnight, then rinse it with water, rinse and dry as described earlier.
There is another very effective cleaning method - an ultrasonic bath. It can be easily purchased in online stores, and it is not expensive. According to user reviews, this is the best way to prevent contamination in misters.
Spiral burning
This is a rather risky procedure, and it is recommended only for experienced vapers, since this way you can completely “kill” the vaporizer. Its essence is to heat the miser coil red-hot and get rid of carbon deposits on it.
In some cases, this is the only method that allows you to properly clean a “coked” heating element.
The burning procedure is as follows:
- remove the wick and rinse the mister under running warm water, then blow it out;
- screw the module to the battery pack;
- press the power button for 4-5 seconds, but no more;
- It is recommended to repeat the procedure 5 to 10 times until the coils are clear of carbon deposits;
- After the miser has completely cooled down, blow it out.
After completing the cleaning procedure, insert a new wick into the coil, moisten it with liquid and assemble the device. After assembling the device and filling the cartridge with e-liquid, you can start vaping. The following video clearly demonstrates how to burn through the heating element of an atomizer.
How not to clean an electronic gadget
We figured out how to clean the vaporizer of an electronic cigarette and care for its other parts. Now you should figure out what you should not do when using and cleaning this accessory:
- use chemicals and solvents, they will leave an unpleasant “taste” that is impossible to cope with;
- overheat the atomizer during a “dry run” and use a voltage higher than that recommended for the accessory;
- wash the parts of the cigarette under running water; the components can only be soaked;
- assemble the accessory after cleaning, when the parts have not yet dried.
By following these recommendations, you will keep your device in working condition for a long time.
How to disassemble an atomizer if it does not unscrew
The dream has come true! A neat electronic cigarette lies comfortably in your hand and you are a novice vaper! Yes, everything is fine, thick and tasty steam enveloping you in a sweet cloud, envious or simply curious glances of others...
What more could you want? Suddenly, you begin to notice that the taste of the steam has changed and become bitter. It turns out that a beautiful picture is just the beginning, but the device requires special care. So, how can a beginner disassemble the ego ce4 atomizer without breaking anything?
What are the differences
Very often, readers on forums and visitors to vape shops or stores are interested in what is the difference between an atomizer and clearomizers and which one is better to choose.
No one can tell you about the choice, since there are supporters of both types of devices, because both have both advantages and disadvantages.
The choice should be purely individual, but, as a rule, the vaper settles on one thing after some time of searching for a more tasty and rich vapor, as well as a comfortable draw.
And the difference is this: both the atomizer and the clearomizer are practically the most important spare part of your gadget, and both are a vapor generator tank. But if you can change the “insides” of the atomizer and continue vaping with it, then the clearomizer has to be replaced with a new one.
How does an atomizer work?
In order to successfully disassemble, and most importantly, then assemble the ego ce4 atomizer, you need to know what it is.
The atomizer design is quite simple:
- metal tube;
- a ceramic bowl located inside this tube;
- a collapsible system for evaporating liquid, which is located inside the bowl - this is the main difference from a clearomizer, the system of which is not dismountable.
The main thing is not to confuse which way to turn.
The evaporation system is a small spiral made of certain metals (most often nichrome, kanthal, nickel or titanium), through which a small piece of special silica thread or cotton wool is passed, and in some models it can be a bamboo thread.
A metal bridge surrounded by metafoam is installed above the evaporation system, which facilitates the transfer of the liquid that fills the cartridge to the heating coil and protects the system itself from any damage.
At the other end of the spiral, through additional devices, this can be a button or a tightening sensor, as well as a microcircuit, connected to the battery.
So is it a plus or a minus?
Thanks to this design of the ego ce4 atomizer, the liquid in the tank can be easily and quickly changed, and also used as a drip.
But there are also disadvantages:
- tank volume is small;
- it is difficult to understand what residue is in it;
- the need for constant refills and cleaning.
These are exactly the pitfalls that sellers are silent about, and then we stumble over them. But don’t worry - in skillful hands, the process of disassembling an atomizer can turn into an exciting hobby, because the possibilities for experimenting with windings and wicks are unlimited.
However, precisely for this reason, manufacturers of electronic gadgets for vaping advise beginners to first purchase a clearomizer, and only then, when the vaper gains experience, begin to realize their creative ideas by winding and installing coils themselves.
Short story
Since that time, such gadgets have changed beyond recognition and have become hundreds of times more powerful. If previously they existed only to help a person quit smoking more comfortably, now almost every fifth person has such a device. Some, especially young people, have become addicted to vaping liquids of different flavors, so the popularity of electronic cigarettes is increasing exponentially. Many people are interested in how to care for an electronic cigarette. This is a simple procedure that does not take much time.
The first ES were disposable . They were relatively inexpensive, and their manufacturers claimed that this kind of device could replace up to 2 packs of cigarettes for a smoker. In fact, due to their low power, they lasted for a very short time, and the amount of steam and taste left much to be desired. Of course, there was no question of any cleaning: after use, the devices were immediately thrown into the trash. The batteries of such devices could not be recharged, and the taste of the liquid could not be changed. They began to be replaced by the first reusable ES.
Such devices were called e-cigarettes. They cost much more than their disposable counterparts, but they were practically the same in terms of the amount of vapor and taste. For such gadgets, cartomizers were used - removable caps filled with liquid with a certain taste and aroma. The cartridges could be refilled, but the process was labor-intensive and fluid often leaked. The battery of such devices could be recharged repeatedly, but it was impossible to hover while charging.
The evaporator was a twisted wire that was inserted into the cartridge and heated it. The charge held very little, and the composite cigarettes themselves quickly failed, so they had few admirers. Soon, eGo and Armango format devices (models ce4 and ce5) entered the market, which had an improved liquid reservoir and an evaporator. Soon they too became outdated, because they were replaced by various box mods, as well as mechanical mods, which are constantly being improved.
Frequent causes of breakdowns
One of the most common causes of failure is considered to be improper care of the cigarette due to improper use, as well as the use of low-quality flavored liquids or counterfeits of well-known brands . The first piece of advice for novice vapers: buy only licensed liquids that consist of high-quality nicotine (for example, American hiliQ), vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol. Some unfortunate manufacturers are trying to save on raw materials by making vaping mixtures from unrefined pharmaceutical glycerin for external use. Atmose, Nrgon, etc. are considered good liquids for vaping.
Features of vape care
As mentioned above, in order for your vape to live happily ever after, you will have to look after it like a child. You need to provide high-quality and periodic maintenance to your mod.
To maintain your “pet” in frequency, you need to follow several rules:
- Take a close look at the liquid. You should not buy liquids in some basement, somewhere on the edge of the city. Not only is there nothing good waiting for you there, but even the liquids are already expired for a year. This can affect not only the sense of taste, but also have a significant impact on health. Buy liquids in special vape shops that have all the licenses and rights to do so.
- Learn to clean your vape not only in critical situations, but periodically, that is, for example, once every 2 weeks. The best defense is an attack, as they say. You shouldn’t let your device fail until additional problems arise.
- Don't overdo the filling. There are people who like to vape deliciously and in bulk, pouring the entire bottle into the atomizer. Rest assured, you will get nothing but leaks from your mod and spitting hot liquid. It is recommended to fill the tank with 3/4 of the total volume of the atom. But it’s best to drip the drip until the liquid stops being absorbed by the cotton wool, usually 8-12 drops.
- In maintenance-free tanks, rinse and clean it before adding a different liquid from the previous one. Otherwise, the flavors will mix and you will end up with some strange muddiness, sometimes downright disgusting. Don't forget this.
- If you just quit smoking and switched to the vaping subculture, then you should not take deep and long puffs. Believe me, this won’t make you more steamy, this only happens with cigarettes. Here the amount of steam depends on completely different parameters. For example: resistance of the coils, battery power, its charge and several more, which you can all read about in previous articles.
- Avoid charging batteries until they have been recharged. This, of course, only applies to cheap chargers, since good ones always have overcharge protection. But what will concern all novice vapers is a low battery. There is no need to squeeze out the last drops from it, this may have a bad effect on their resource.
- Maintenance-free vaporizers should be replaced every 2-3 weeks, after which a lot of off-flavors will appear, which can affect your overall enjoyment of vaping.
